Engine. The 500 EXC has a good engine, producing enough power for adventure enduro. It has plenty of bottom end grunt for cruising and explosive power higher up for when you need it for obstacles and whatever. What’s best is that the engine doesn’t seem to be prone to stalling even with lower revs.
The service manual advises to change the oil every 3 hours but is this advised under the assumption that the bike will raced and ridden quite hard, rather than being driven on the road.
