Connect your DS4 Controller first. Plug your G29 on AC & Usb. Connect as controller the G29 (press PS button and select your account) Check if you can navigate into the PS4 menus with your G29. Launch ACC and it will work. I had the same issues with my G29 on PS4 / Assetto Corsa Retail ! just launch the game with your steering wheel.

Deadzone 4%. Gamma 220%. Any setting which doesn't utilize 100% steering speed is simply useless, rendering your reactions slower. You need to be able to whirl that wheel to its full potential in order to be competitive with a controller. I guess the setting would feel a bit better with the deadzone working.

I assigned custom buttons to the DS3 in content manager. I'm just not sure what extra buttons I can assign for the DS4. CHEERS!

Make sure you are in the controller section in settings. And not wheel or keyboard. It might be secondary to use button instead or a trigger. Using any of the buttons instead of triggers is handicapping yourself! Also, the Playstation controller has a pressure sensitive trigger.

If you have this issue, here is another way to select a controller preset: close Content Manager if you have it open go to C:\Users\username\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\extension in file explorer open custom_rendering_modes.ini with Notepad or Notepad++ or whatever program you have that can read .ini files
Played it for a week or so then got race 07 cheap. Assetto Corsa is way more difficult than it. I have the same problem. It seems like you are constsntly on a knife edge of spining out, and any tiny mistake can put you over. It is also fairly easy to push the front end through the tighter turns and running through it.
