Itsvital that you replace your timing belt/cambelt as going over the manufacturers’ recommendation can lead to a slipped or snapped belt. Ihave just checked my service schedule and it only mentions the toothed belt on 1.9 TDI every 95k - 2.0TDI & 2.0 TFSI every 114k. No mention of the ancillary belt on the 2.7 & 3.0 TDI engines, so assume these don't get changed untill they break.
