A good archer needs Power Draw and Weapon Mastery, a scout needs Path-Finding at the very least. Those are Strength, Agility and Intelligence skills. 1 Companion focused on Intelligence with Engineer, Trade, Persuasion, lots of intelligence related skills. They act as my scholar. Trade is a Charisma skill, Engineering is an Intelligence skill

Because we have the ability to create Companion Groups, we should have the ability to cross-party equip them. Cross-Army interactions need to be in there, too. And, intra-Army communications is non-existent. There's a boatload of standard Warband dialogues yet to be included, IMO. And, there's a ton of new ones needed, especially for Companion

But don't panic, up to eight heroes can be recruited without conflicts; we could say that there are two "loops of conflict", one with two "five heroes" branches and other with two "three heroes" branches, and you can combine any group of five with any other of three: Groups of five: A) Artimenner, Borcha, Matheld, Lezalit and Rolf.
Also companions with horses normally go with the cav even if they are infantry class. Yeah, it works, but everytime you start/load the game, you have to set them again, as it currently doesn't save. Also if you assign troops to a number from 5-9, that troops type in other lords parties also gets assigned to that number and when you mouse over

They upgrade troops and replace lost troops. If they are losing too many troops in battle try upping their medicine skill. Otherwise they may always have "green" troops. If you are using mods, all bets are off and you should have opened with that. Last edited by GIJoe597 ; Apr 3, 2023 @ 9:44am.
The game can be "completed" (well, all cities can be conquered) within 40 hours. But it all depends on how quickly you want to build your armies and whether you want to go on conquests, or slowly explore the world, talk to its inhabitants, etc. However, Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord is a game with an open world and no "real ending". In the game
you can get 8 companions. you have 2 brothers, a sister. 11. you can marry. 12. you can marry your brothers off for 2 wives to enter your clan. 14 Then your kids, your nieces/nephews, and THEIR wives. Your clan is already 3-4 times larger then any other clan. since it allows companions to lead parties, and you start with 3 siblings.
I was reading though, on the Taleworlds forum, about how companion info is stored. I feel like I'm close to figuring this out, but I need a hand from anyone' more savvy with way Mount and Blade works. The basic premise mentioned is to change each companion in Troops.txt to have their dislike be some neutral NPC instead of another companion.

This needs to be fixed, even for low # of companions. Side note - the smithing menu only loads like 10 companions. Not that big of a deal since you don't need that many smiths, but smithing could be a good way to power level some free skill points otherwise. Gearing companions wasn't that big of a deal. Mostly, the BiS weapons were easy to You make your companions Captains by assigning them to the group you want them to buff. For example you'll note you press the number two when you want archers. Archers are in group 2. Set your most archery-est companion into group two (under party) and their captain buffs will buff that group. Same goes for cavalry, horse archers, etc. You need to address multiple issues: general party happiness, companion conflicts, specific companion likes and dislikes, etc. The first thing you need to do is decide how many companions you intend to keep in your party at all time. You have basically three choices: - keep all 16 companions at all times.

5.4K votes, 601 comments. true. The encyclopedia doesn't seem to be a reliable way to locate wanderers you've never encountered before, rather, it seems like each time you visit a city's tavern for the first time, a random wanderer from the pool of unmet wanderers is picked (sometimes 2).

* Starting amount of parties you can form * Amount of extra parties you can form per clan level increase. To change these settings: install/enable the mod, launch the game and in the menu where you can start a new campaign, or load a saved game, there is now an option called "mod options". Click it and it will take you to Bannertweaks, where
