Drain the leak with a screwdriver. Take a screwdriver and push it into the center or the location of the leak (away from framing boards) to allow the leak to drain and prevent further water damage. Patching a leak can actually be quite easy. You could use plaster or a similar material to fill in a hole. You could cover the area with a tarp. Look at the problem and find a solution that makes sense to you. Now that you’ve found the leak, you’re not going to want to leave things as they are. The sooner you fix the leak, the better.
