set them both to "Forced Off" (maybe only one is needed but this is what worked for me), then exit steam completely. start steam again and go back to No Man's Sky properties, and change those 2 settings back, the default options being: for "Steam Input Per-Game Setting": "Use your global Steam Input settings" Which you'll probably need to do from it's steam folder. :\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries nms.exe (right click and select Run as Administrator) This will dedicate all your resources to running nms. It may or may not help. But worth trying. Last edited by Martin ; Sep 22, 2020 @ 8:03am. Nvidia's Titan X Pascal paired with an overclocked Core i7 6700K takes on the currently flawed PC build of No Man's Sky. Can we power our way to a locked UHD The game uses your Steam microphone settings. Open your Steam friend's/social panel and disable it there. Or, optionally, leave it enabled and just change it to "Push to Talk" and set a key bind for it. Then it will not be "always on". Last edited by Jaggid Edje ; Jun 11, 2023 @ 7:44am. #4. Went back to No Man's Sky. Did a settings file deletion and started fresh and yet again the game looks like noisy trash with color fringing around borders etc. Spent 90 minutes trying HDR on/off in windows, different bit depths (8, 10), ensured TV was detecting HDR mode, trying different TV colorspaces, HDR 10/HLG modes, etc.
Check that your vents are not blocked by something, with a laptop have some cm free above ground or use a coolant plate. Then, if all is ok you must set the appropriate in-game settings, too high settings can cause overheating (or very low performance anyway). #1. o-trushin Jul 25, 2020 @ 10:50am.
